The children dressed in traditional Caribbean costumes sang Christmas carols in the 'Oaks' on Acton High Street. Descendants volunteers and parents supported them.
It was a bitterly cold day but the children happily entertained the crowds and raised over £150. This was a tremendous amount in such a short period of time. The children were also invited to sing in McDonalds and were treated to a lunch after they sang. We have been invited back next year.
One parent said "This was a great experience" and she thinks we should do it again next year.
