About the Event

Our history as a people is marked by countless examples of heroes, heroines, scientific and artistic achievement and strength in the face of overwhelming odds. And we at Descendants are determined to celebrate this legacy! Learn from teachers, story tellers and artists alike over the weeks as you explore the most notable people and moments of our African past.

These sessions will be held online over the first few weeks but as COVID restrictions ease we will be hosting the event at our centre! Expect creative workshops, live story telling, musical sessions and REAL African and Caribbean costumes and artefacts! Stay tuned for more information.

Sessions will be split into two groups depending on age (these may change according to the numbers):

5:30pm-6:30pm (Primary School, Key Stage 1-2)
