Paulette Wilson came to England at the age of 10 for a better life, she lived in the UK for 50 years.  She was one of hundreds of people misclassified as an illegal immigrant in the Windrush scandal.  After receiving a letter from the British government classifying Paulette Wilson as an illegal immigrant, she lost her sense of identity and belonging. It is important to acknowledge and respect our older generations who helped build the UK to what it is today.
